Res·o·nan·ti·a [ rez-uh-NAN-tee-uh ] noun
Latin root resōnāre, meaning to resonate, to resound, “to sound again” • Proto-Indo-European root *swen- / *son- “to sound, hum, vibrate” • re- (again, back) + sonāre (to sound) + -ant- (sounding) + -ia (state, condition) • Resonance as in echo, reverberation, the quality of being resonant • Literally: “a sounding back” or “returning sound”
Resonantia evolved from a small Etsy store I started a couple years ago in undergrad: Resonance Rings. Central to the inception of creating at all was from a calling to share truly functional art.
Here the contemporary gap between art, purpose, function and technology is bridged to nurture health and sovereignty in wake of the modern world. The aim is to bring innovative art and technology to the forefront fusing ancient and modern principles.
Resonantia has a wide range of exclusive offerings aside from jewelry and tensor technology in the works and will be adding more offerings in the near future including additional frequency technology, lights, research, clothes and tools for the present inspired by what still resonates from our past.
Ramzi Torbey-رمزي طربية - is the founder of Resonantia. I’m an American-Lebanese Artist, Writer, Tensor Smith, Jeweler, and Doctoral Student of Acupuncture & Traditional Chinese Medicine.
A devout passion for light, holistic medicine, and circadian based health interventions actually inspires much of what is shared here. It was through multi disciplinary research on physics and biology that began my fascination with the interconnected role of light, antenna and semiconductors in physics, biology and health.
I pull on these connections in the creation of jewelry and art that is shared here and it will continue to influence new offerings, some of which, like the Tensor Rings, will be grounded in shining a new light, and innovating upon older technology.
The Tensor Ring, originally patented by Slim Spurling, is a form of Scalar Antenna powered by light and sound and is creatively incorporated as functional technology in the jewelry pieces and artwork on the site.
